ABOUT US
Who are we?
What are our goals?

our mission
The PUT STEM Student Group was established in December 2024 by students from three disciplines: chemistry, physics, and electronics and computer sciences. Three supervisors, each representing one of these disciplines, support the group.
Our goal is to collaborate in an interdisciplinary manner, broaden our horizons, and develop new ideas. We launched our activities with the international STEM Day conference, where we exchanged ideas across disciplines and promoted STEM. We plan to make it an annual event.
In addition to organizing events, we aim to collaborate on research projects and publish research articles based on our findings.
We welcome both Polish- and English-speaking students, as our goal is to foster international cooperation.
OUR SECTIONS
Research (Physics & Chemistry)
Dedicated to individuals involved in the initial stage of laboratory research in ongoing projects. New project: ChemCar!
PUT STEM Day Committee
For those involved in organizing PUT STEM Day—an annual, interdisciplinary, international event designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among students.
Marketing and Outreach
For those responsible for creating promotional materials, scientific posts, marketing activities, securing sponsors, and establishing international collaborations.
chem-e-car project idea
Chem-E-Car is a design team that offers students the opportunity to develop skills in chemical, mechanical, electrical, and programming disciplines. The goal is to design and build small, handheld cars powered and stopped by chemical reactions, which then compete in AIChE-hosted competitions.
During the competition, judges announce a target distance and specify a weight that the car must carry. The team whose car stops closest to the target distance after two rounds wins.
Building a successful Chem-E-Car requires a team with strong chemical expertise, mechanical and electrical engineering skills, and a collaborative mindset to develop a fully functional vehicle.
